# Golf Club Size Chart — Method & Sources

> Public method reference for Golf Club Size Chart. This document explains the static sizing approach, supported inputs, calculation boundaries, and source attribution.

## Method overview

Golf Club Size Chart provides a static starting point for golf club sizing.

The calculator supports three public tasks:

- Adult static fit using height plus wrist-to-floor refinement.
- Junior sizing using player height bands rather than age.
- Owned club checking by comparing a measured club against a target length.

The result is a reference build. It is not a claim that all manufacturers publish the same club specifications.

## Adult static fit

Adult sizing starts with a height-based length band.

Wrist-to-floor measurement checks arm proportion and can refine that starting point by a bounded amount. The tool limits this refinement to no more than half an inch because static measurements cannot determine dynamic swing conditions.

Static fitting does not measure:

- posture at address;
- swing plane;
- impact position;
- launch conditions;
- ball flight.

A fitter may need additional dynamic information for a final fitting decision.

## Junior sizing

Junior sizing uses player height rather than age.

The tool uses three-inch player-height bands and published junior sizing references.

## Owned club checking

The owned-club check compares a measured club against the active reference target.

Measurement methods depend on club type and follow the published club measurement guidance used by the tool.

## Reference build boundary

The calculator uses the term "reference build" instead of "standard" because manufacturers and models can publish different specifications for clubs with the same number.

Always verify the exact club model before buying, cutting, or extending a shaft.
